About

Hi, my name is Dmitry Alexeenko. I live between Lisbon, San Francisco, and Seattle and work at Cloudflare.

In my early career I spent a lot of time working on email software, reading about RFC 2822, SMTP, POP3, and IMAP. I spent a few years helping build Outlook Web App and refactor layers of the Microsoft Exchange stack. I also spent a couple of years working on Windows 7 and Windows 8.

In 2013 I happened to attend YC Startup School at De Anza College and heard Nate Blecharczyk talk about a fairly new startup called Airbnb. Next thing I knew, I was part of the team, tackling everything from risk management, to payments, to machine learning, to internal tooling. It was a wild ride, and I loved being part of something that connected hundreds of millions of people around the world.

My time at Airbnb got me excited about supporting hosts, entrepreneurs, and small businesses. That led me to Stripe, where I worked on helping build the economic infrastructure for the internet. Some of the products I'm proud of include Radar for Platforms, Stripe Invoicing, and Stripe Billing, all aimed at empowering people to start and scale their businesses.

I recently joined Cloudflare as Head of Enterprise Engineering to help build a better internet for everyone. We're hiring! If interested, please reach out.
